It will be great to start teaching in person again! Because of Covid, I put my classes on hold, but now that over 50% of central Ohioans have been vaccinated, I'm ready to offer a whole new line-up of craft classes. First is my series of "Craft Social" workshops, which have moved from Dempsey's Food & Spirits to the Jury Room! It was a short move just around the corner, and I'm thrilled to have a class downtown again.
Classes will now be on Wednesday evenings from 7-9. The Jury Room does not have a kitchen, but you are able to order food from Dempsey's or Door Dash and having something delivered. Of course the bar will be open for a full range of adult beverages.
I'll be following CDC guidelines in terms of masking and social distancing, and if classes get cancelled, there will be a zoom option or a full refund. Here is the schedule:

Fall Felting Fun
Learn the basics of needle felting, or poking wool fibers with a special needle to make felt. You’ll form three dimensional shapes and learn how to turn them into pumpkins, acorns, owls and more! You can finish by stringing your shapes into a garland, stitching them together to make napkin holders or a brooch, or add strings to use as ornaments. No experience necessary. Spooky Embroidery
Settle in for some cozy embroidery and spooky stories! You’ll select a project based on your skill level (beginner to advanced), and get started with some simple stitches. As you stitch, you’ll hear about the ghosts who haunt the Jury Room. Learn about the murdering madam, her revenge-seeking customer, and the other characters who haunt the space. Who knows, maybe a ghost will join in the fun! You’ll end up with a decorative embroidered piece to hang in its hoop or put into a frame. For adults and teens. No experience necessary.
